DATE: Victorian, c.1880

A stunning quality Victorian crescent moon brooch, set with the gorgeous combination of natural blue sapphires and old cut diamonds along the centre row. The stones rest in silver cut down settings, with weights of 0.56carats (sapphire) and 0.51carats (old cut diamonds). They graduate in size from point to point, and two rows of dreamy natural pearls border the centre gem-set centre. With a 15k gold back and brooch fittings, it also features a little lop for wear on a chain- if you're not a fan of styling a brooch... It comes complete with a navy blue fitted box and it remains in lovely antique condition.
