DATE: Art Nouveau, c.1910

Wonderful antique Art Nouveau necklace dating from early 20th century France. Made by Georges Pierre (GIP maker's mark to the reverse), it's carved from a single piece of horn, with poppy motifs meticulously hand painted and accented with a large orange carnelian cabochon. The large pendant remains strung on what appears to be the original brown cord.
