DATE: Victorian, c.1880

A beautiful antique Souvenir book locket with black enamel work to the front cover, and pretty chased detailing to the back. It opens up to reveal a middle "page" and space to display four photographs. The word souvenir translates from the French as "remember" or "memory", particularly fitting for such a sweet locket. Made in France in the late 19th Century, its modelled in 9 karat gold.
