DATE: Victorian, c. 1901

Elegant antique half-hoop cluster ring set with vibrant pinkish-red rubies and old cut diamonds. Alternating single rubies and clusters of diamonds make for a somewhat unusual overall look, but it works well and adds an element of intrigue to a classic style. Dating from the very end of the Victorian period, it's crafted in 18 karat gold with stones set in platinum. Birmingham hallmarks date it to the year 1901.
