DATE: Victorian, c.1880

A gorgeous Victorian pool-of-light locket dating from the 1880s. Crafted in 15 karat gold, it's set with a deep rock crystal cabochon - cut so its "pools" the light inside - within a border of pearls and amethyst set bail. The back can be removed so you can store a small photograph of keepsake inside (which will be magnified by the rock crystal).
