DATE: Victorian, c.1870

Gorgeous antique dome pendant, fully pavé set with turquoise cabochons. The term pavé translates from French as literally 'paved' - they always remind me of old cobbled streets. The stones on this one have aged beautifully, to create a range of different turquoise hues. It's modelled in 15 karat gold with silver settings, and features a round glass locket compartment to the back.
