DATE: Victorian, c.1880

A lovely Victorian period half hoop ring set with five fiery opal cabochons. The stones graduate in size across the head, each one displaying a vivid blue colour with specks of orange, red, yellow and green throughout. In-between each stone rests a pair of rose cut diamonds, and the stones are set by the gorgeously scroll carved gallery that travel up to reach the stones and hold them in place. Modelled in 18 karat gold throughout.
