Victorian Diamond Horseshoe Necklace

Victorian Diamond Horseshoe Necklace

$950.00

Description

DATE: Victorian, c.1880

A gorgeous Victorian horseshoe necklace dating from the latter half of the 19th Century. It's set with seven rose cut diamonds, four on one side three on the other, as the superstition dictates: seven being the luckiest number. Horseshoes have long been associated with good luck, and it's said that the devil cannot enter a house with a horseshoe hung over the door. This one's modelled in 15 karat gold and attached to a chunky belcher chain for wear as a pendant.
