DATE: Victorian, c.1880

This large fantastic antique locket is crafted entirely from 18k yellow gold and set with a gemstone trefoil motif. Emerald, diamond and ruby...Each one of a different cut- square, round old mine cut and hexagonal, while a smaller rose cut rests at the top of the motif. It hinged down the left hand side, opening to reveal two original photographs, a man and woman, easily removed to add your own. The back features engraved initials of SWB, and it comes complete with the original bail for wear on a chain. Remains in great condition and dates from the Victorian period.
