Victorian 2.32ct Ceylon Cornflower Sapphire Navette Cluster Ring
$5,400.00
Description
DATE: Late Victorian, c.1890
Fantastic late Victorian navette cluster ring, the main event being a mouth-watering 2.32 carat cornflower blue sapphire, oval faceted, certified as Sri Lankan (Ceylon) origin with no evidence of heat treatment. A sapphire of this size and quality (it's virtually inclusion free, clear as glass) that haven't been treated extremely rare, so it's a privilege to handle. Surrounded by a cluster of chunky old mine cut diamonds, it's set in 15k gold with French (shell) control mark to the outer band indicating was likely made in England and later retailed in France.
