DATE: Victorian, c.1890

An impeccably styled antique 5-stone ring dating from the late Victorian era, circa 1890. It's set with three vibrant opals, with an old mine cut diamond between each. The opals are nicely graduated, with particularly strong colour flashes as they move in the light. It's finely made and very much of its time, with slender, slightly elongated claws, and subtle knife-edge shoulders.
