DATE: Victorian, c.1870

A striking High Victorian locket with a central pavé set dome of turquoise cabochons topped off with a star-set diamond. Petal-like openworked segments immediately surround the oval dome, with eight turquoise trefoil/clovers adorning the border. The edges are with applied gold ropework, and the reverse features a glass-fronted locket compartment. Crafted in 15 karat gold and dating from the 1870s
