DATE: Regency Period, c.1815

A gorgeous Regency Period Heart locket; the first letter of each stone spells out a secret acrostic message: REGARD. The goldwork to the front is exceptional, with applied oak leaf details to the centre, and intricate scrolls and granulation around the border. To the reverse is a heart-shaped glass locket compartment. Modelled in 15k gold throughout.
