DATE: Georgian, c.1820

A superb Georgian seal fob featuring a classical intaglio to the base. It's carved from a single piece of hardstone agate, and features Eros washing the feet of Aphrodite; a potent romantic message, something along the lines of Love serving Beauty. With gold fittings, it looks great worn as a pendant (or on the end of a pocket watch chain, if that's how you roll).
