DATE: Early Victorian, c.1840
An utterly gorgeous early Victorian fan charm/pendant crafted in 15 karat yellow gold. It's a masterclass in openwork and chased detailing - mainly abstract shapes but I'm definitely seeing snakes and stars - and remains in excellent condition given the age. The fan opens and closes beautifully, and was handmade in England in the 1840s.
