DATE: Belle Époque, c.1910

This stunning antique cluster ring is a masterclass in platinum millegrain open work. Dripping with diamonds, the centre features a 1.03 carat marquise cut diamond that shimmers in every light. Its set within a border of fine millegrain with open backed settings. A halo of diamonds in scalloped "petal" settings surround the centre stone, and at each end of the North/South resting ring are two chunky old cut diamonds. The entire head is finished with beautiful platinum millegrain, and the split shoulders lead to the simple 18 karat yellow gold band.
