Art Deco Sapphire & Diamond Navette Ring
Art Deco Sapphire & Diamond Navette Ring
$5,100.00
Description
DATE: Art Deco, c.1930
Striking Art Deco period navette ring dating from the 1930s. The term navette - interchangeable with marquise - comes from the French word for a weaver's shuttle, literally "little ship", and as such these rings are also sometimes referred to as boat rings (and this one's particularly boat-like). Three principal stones, an oval faceted blue sapphire and two old Euro diamonds, are arranged in a line down the middle, surrounded to each side by single cut diamond clusters and the tips set with calibré sapphires. All finished with fine millegrain edges; crafted in platinum throughout.
