DATE: Vintage, c.1980

The evil eye is a curse from Greek culture that has been passed through many decades, and dates as far back as 3,000BC.... and even still exists today. It is believed that when someone is envious of you, they can curse you with an 'evil glare' and send bad luck your way. So, protection from the evil eye is something that a lot of people looked for. That's why people often wore evil eye jewellery as a symbol of protection.

These gorgeous Vintage stud earrings remind me a lot of the evil eye, and are set with ruby centres and diamond cluster surrounds. They're modelled in 18k gold throughout and remain in lovely condition.
