A cool antique black opal ring, dating from the Victorian period, circa 1866. The stone is set in platinum and displays excellent play of colour throughout with pops of green, red and orange, reminds me of a planet or something extra-terrestrial. The band is crafted in 22k gold with ribbed shoulder detailing.
