DATE: Late Victorian, c.1900

Two Worlds, founded in Manchester in 1887 was a known publishing company that produced their own flagship. This was devoted to spiritualists, occult scientists, and ethics, in which they produced spirit-communication tools for those who could communicate (to you know who...). The crystal ball has been around since the very first century, and were especially popular during the Victorian period- used for the act of Scrying. Divination and scrying are the first things you think of when you hear of a crystal ball, which involves gazing into the crystal, tuning into your intuition and being open to any visions or messages.

This miniature antique rock crystal ball is cold to the touch, and is boxed in a dreamy purple/blue velvet, a great piece to place in the centre of your home, soaking in all the energy. I wonder who owned this? Could they have been a sprit medium? It remains in lovely (and spooky) condition, dating to the late  Victorian period, circa 1900.
