DATE: Mid-Century, c.1940

An outstanding pair of clip on earrings, dating to the Mid-Century, circa 1940. Each are modelled as a large rhombus, and feature zig-zag style detailing across the top and bottom. In the centre, each are set with a gorgeous hexagonal cut aquamarine and surrounded by a row of brilliant cut diamonds (0.66ct total), following the zig-zag shape. Two panels of onyx flare out at each side of the aquamarines, creating a great contrast in colour. They're crafted in 18k gold throughout with clip backs (no need for pierced ears) and remain in great condition.
