Description

DATE: Victorian, c.1883

This charming posy style silver band dates to the Victorian period, featuring English assay marks for Birmingham assay office and the year 1883. The band itself features love knot motifs within the gilded sinner section, with the motto "Quis Nos Separabit", which translates from Latin to "Who Shall Separate Us"- really sweet with the combination of words and knot symbolism. Its a fine example, which epitomises Victorian sentimental jewellery. Made to fit a size US 6.25.
