DATE: Victorian, c.1890
Founded in 1781 BY by William Asprey, the business was originally based in Mitcham, Surrey until the company moved to London. From there, Asprey started their exclusive and luxury jewellery design and became widely recognized for their famous client base: members of royal family, heads of state and actors. Queen Victoria awarded them a Royal Warrant for dressing cases in 1862, as a mark of recognition for their work.
These earrings date from the Victorian period, and are modelled as flower clusters. The central stones, gorgeous and juicy natural rubies which are surrounded by a cluster of old cut diamond "petals", 1.62ct total. Crafted in 18k gold throughout, they feature push backs and open worked settings. Come complete with the original fitted box.
