DATE: Victorian, c.1882

An antique silver cuff bangle dating from the Victorian period, circa 1882. The front is engraved with a garland of roses and leaves with a ribbed border.  

Victorian jewellery often includes floral motifs, as part of their "Language of Flowers", whereby each flower or plant represented some romantic or emotional sentiment... In this case, wild rose for grace.
