Gorgeous pair of mid-Victorian snake earrings, each one featuring a serpent coiled around an oval amethyst cabochon. They date from the 1870s, modelled in 9k gold throughout. The snakes feature stylised cartoonish faces (a Victorian specialty) and little articulated ball drops beneath.
