DATE: Victorian, c.1900

Charming (and pretty strange) solitaire earrings dating from the very end of the Victorian period. They fall into that illusive category of jewels that could have been made at any point over the last 120 years - distinct timelessness. The gemstones are lively white pastes, full of fire and sparkle, set in dome-shaped 9k gold mounts that turn into ear wires at the apex. I've never seen a pair quite like them, fully original with 9ct marks to the wires.
