DATE: Victorian, c.1870

A beautiful pair of high Victorian earrings dating from the 1870s. They're set with juicy amethyst cabochons, and embellished with particularly lovely applied ropework detailing and gold orbs. The multi-drops of torpedoes are articulated, and they move freely beneath the ear, with the biggest drop in the centre. Modelled in pinchbeck, they hang from floral tops and wires.
