A cool gold signet ring, featuring a hand carved intaglio rebus puzzle. Popular in the Georgian period, the rebus puzzle or "pictogram" typically uses pictures, symbols or letters to spell out parts and syllables of words. In this case, an eye, cherub and a yew tree. The eye for (you guessed it) "I", the cherub (a symbol of love) and a yew tree, for you! I LOVE YOU. It is reverse carved so that a wax seal can be stamped and it's modelled in 9k gold.
