DATE: Victorian, c.1860

A superb 19th Century French masquerade suite, comprising a locket suspended from a chain, with matching drop earrings. European made, they date from the Victorian period, circa 1860, and they're modelled in pinchbeck throughout. Each piece features a beautiful hand-painted enamel portrait of a masked lady - set with glistening rose cut paste eyes, and finished in pale pinks, grey, white and black. The earrings feature lovely detailed tops, with lovely pommel details and wired backs, and the locket chain has a wearable length of 18 inches. They are presented in a later fitted box with glass top, and they remain in great condition.
