DATE: Victorian, c.1880

A gorgeous Victorian opal and diamond half hoop ring dating from the 1880s. The stones, natural Australian opals, are oval shaped and graduate from the centre. They display a broad colour range, from blues to greens and pinks to reds. Bright old cut diamonds (approx. 1 carat) sit between the opals and the band is crafted in 18k gold with deeply hand chased bezels.
