DATE: Victorian, c.1880
This fantastic Victorian pendant is set with the most fine micro mosaic depicting two white doves among flowers, upon a turquoise background. It's framed with dainty pink and white patterns with silver scroll and bead details. It is most likely of Italian origin and dates to circa, 1880.
Doves are known to symbolise peace, freedom and love. Their calm and loving nature and deep devotion to their 'life partner' earned them their nickname of 'The Love Bird'. A lovely idea to show your love and devotion.
