Victorian Diamond "Forget-Me-Not" Heart Locket Ring
DATE: Victorian, 1880
A cool Victorian mourning ring, the head modelled as a heart with hinged top allowing the front to open up revealing a glass locket compartment. The front of the heart features a Forget-Me-Not flower, set with diamonds, and the remnants of the black enamel still visible. The shoulders are home to pearls, which, at the time would have signified tears.
