DATE: Victorian, c.1880

A sweet antique wedding band modelled in two-tone gold: the band itself is yellow in colour, with applied rose and yellow gold tulips. Victorian jewellery often includes floral motifs, as part of their "Language of Flowers", whereby each flower or plant represented some romantic or emotional sentiment... In this case, tulips for declaration of love. A lovely sentiment, especially for a wedding band. The band is bordered with textured details, and it features English hallmarks for Chester and the year 1880.
