DATE: Regency Period, c.1780

This stunning Regency Period brooch is modelled as a harp with a little secret message AND compartment... Its a lovely representation of angelic music, and the bridge between heaven and earth. It features an acrostic message across the top in gemstones- Ruby, Emerald, Garnet, Amethyst, Ruby and Diamond. REGARD. The instrument is finished with fine gold "strings", floral and foliate motifs with cannetille work along the sides. Its crafted in 15 karat gold throughout, with a small oval locket compartment to the back. This piece intended for wear as a brooch, but looks fantastic worn as a pendant on a chain.
