$15,000.00
Description
DATE: Edwardian, c.1910
A gorgeous antique necklace dating from the Edwardian period, circa 1910. Upon first glance, this necklace presents elegance; a negligee design with intricate gem set embellishments throughout. The two main drops, pear shaped green tourmalines (4.29ct total), are claw set and topped with old cut diamonds. They hang freely from platinum chains, where you find a fantastic enamelled flower motif, with fine guilloche and polka dot enamel displaying gorgeous colours of pink, orange and blue. Moving further up the necklace, a central green tourmaline (8.89ct) rests in the centre, where swirling polka dot enamel motifs rest at either side. The chain is set with alternating pearl and diamonds, with two further tourmaline gems and enamel work. It's a fantastic piece, and the craftsmanship is amazing, with gold settings and a platinum chain. It has a wearable length of 14.5 inches, complete with a gold safety chain.
