Edwardian Gold "Lucky Clover" Pendant
DATE: Edwardian, c.1910
This pretty little pendant will bring the wearer good luck. It's modelled as a rare four-leaf clover, a genetic mutation means that these particular plants have one extra leaf and are therefore much rarer than their three-leaved cousins. Not to be confused with a shamrock, the iconic symbol of Irish heritage, which is traditionally represented as the three-leaf variety.
