Edwardian Gold "13" Pendant
DATE: Edwardian, c.1910
The number thirteen is considered unlucky in some countries, but in many others the opposite it true. In Italy, for instance, the expression fare tredici ("to do 13") means hit the jackpot. There is no concensus as to why, for some, it brings bad luck, but some theories relate it to Norse Mythology, The Last Supper, or the Knights Templar.
This antique pendant is modelled in 9k yellow gold, and features an elegant 13 within a circular frame. May it bring you good luck.
