Description

DATE: Edwardian, c.1910

Imperial Topaz - aka precious topaz - is the rarest hue of topaz, ranging from golden orange to pink. This one displays an excellent golden orange colour, with peachy undertones, and weighs in at approx. 8 carats. It was cut by hand in the late 19th/early 20th century, and remains set in a period 18k gold and platinum solitaire mount with pinched shoulders, knife edge band, and open gallery allowing for illumination of the stone from behind. Made in England circa 1910.
