A superb quality early Victorian serpent brooch dating from the 1850s. The snake is arranged in a tight, looping coil, and holds in its mouth a coral orb. With ruby eye, and further coral drop, it's a great looking piece. Modelled in 18 karat gold and looking as striking as the day it was made.
