DATE: Georgian, c.1720

This antique diamond solitaire is a marvel of design and craftsmanship. It dates from the early 18th Century, circa 1720, featuring stunning openwork and gorgeous foil-backed rose cut diamond centrepiece. The main stone spreads at 2 and a quarter carats, and is accented by six further rose cut diamonds in each shoulder. Modelled in 15 karat gold, the piece is finished with a lovely reeded band - a typical feature on rings of this era.
