Art Deco Burma Sapphire & Diamond Trilogy Ring

$4,200.00

Description

DATE: Art Deco, c.1930

Superb Art Deco trilogy ring dating from the 1930s. The principal stone is a .65ct Burmese sapphire (no heat treatment), oval cut and flanked by two quarter carat brilliant cut diamonds. The stones in a trilogy ring can be said to represent various things including: the past, present, and future; to love, honour, and cherish; friendship, love, and devotion; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. My preference, particularly in the context of an engagement ring (re-popularised by Harry & Meghan's 2017 engagement) is the former of the above. This example's crafted in 18 karat white gold with platinum claw mounts.
