DATE: Vintage, c.1990

Cool vintage hologram charm, all the rage during the late '80s and early '90s, I'm told. The subject is a 1974 gold sovereign coin, laser etched into clear glass to great an ethereal, iridescent display of colour as it moves through the light - ranging from intense acid green, through pink and red and blue, to a near-gold when viewed front on. Like a gold sovereign; it's very clever, really. I've heard of these, but never actually seen one before, they made them with a range of pop-cultural (and tradition cultural) motifs such as a CRT desktop computer monitor, spider in web, eye, horse and horseshoe, ballet shoes, etc etc. Really tempted to keep it to be quite honest.
