1950s Baguette Cut Diamond Stirrup Ring

$900.00

Description

DATE: Mid-Century, c.1950

An unusual mid-Century stirrup ring set with a single baguette cut diamond. The ring gets its name from how it appears in profile - literally stirrup shaped - and the style was popular in the twelfth throught to the fourteenth centuries, often set with a sapphire and worn by clergymen. This example is crafted in 18k rose gold, and dates from the 1950s, with a sleek profile and a good substantial feel.
