18th Century Diamond Crowned Heart Ring
18th Century Diamond Crowned Heart Ring
$7,800.00
Description
DATE: Georgian, c.1780
A spectacular Georgian crowned heart ring dating from the 1780s. The principal stone is a stunning heart-shaped rose cut diamond set over foil in a closed, "pie-crust" silver setting, and crowned with five rose diamond accents. Further diamonds adorn the split shoulders and the band features abstract, rococo-inspired engraving. It's survived the centuries (literally centuries) beautifully, fully original with no evidence of repair nor particular defects. Talk about building things to last...
