17th Century Stuart Crystal Memento Mori Skull Ring
DATE: 17th Century, c.1680
Find present a rare, and somewhat unusual, example of a Stuart Crystal Memento Mori ring. The central cut crystal rests in front of a charming - almost cartoon-like - skull and crossbones motif, while the shoulders are adorned with deep rose cut diamonds. Typically for the period, the back of the head is fluted, and the ring is modelled in 15k yellow gold, with pretty textured accents to the split shoulders.

Good, please note that there is a chip to the bottom of the crystal. The backs of the shoulders have been strengthened at some point in its past - please see images
