DATE: Georgian, c.1790

A fantastic Georgian memorial ring, with an elongated oval shaped head with a lock of blonde hair, neatly tied in a bow with gold ropework behind a glass compartment. A border of dark blue enamel surrounds this with a small pattern of gold and blue dots. A bow tied around the finger was thought to prompt a memory, and in this case Eliza (Elizabeth) Mary Campiurt, who died the 10th of June, 1790 aged 21. The name and date is engraved on the back of the head, and it's crafted in 15k gold throughout with split shoulders.
